Visa for China
One student did not need a visa. Unfortunately, that changed two weeks before we got there.
No flexibility (just like any other country). Student booked on the next flight out in the morning. Good lesson for everyone on importance of checking everything twice before departing on international travel. Two of our friends gone. Not a good feeling.
Arriving in Shanghai
Huge new airport -- Japan looks old compared with this. Night time bus ride. Neon lights. Huge energy and movement. Can feel the raw energy exuding from everywhere – cranes, scaffolding, workers. Shanghai seems to be in a hurry. Massive skyline. Construction everywhere.
